An Unlearned Lesson....America at War

Today, June 25th, is the sixtieth anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War, which pitted the United States
against a regime that "won" as we brought our troops home without a decisive victory. And today it North Korea
remains a threat to its neighbors.

The American people were never told we were also at war with China, whose troops we battled, and Russia
which supplied arms to fight against us.

Sadly, this pattern continues to this day, as it is replicated again and again since.

Our 'lost' war in Vietnam was a repeat, as both China and Russia were sided against us.

And within the last two decades we sent troops to fight despots in the Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
And, with each encounter American troops have become casualties of arms made by so-called respected
members of the United Nations.

Today, these past events have taught us nothing. The political class of our nation continue to meet with leaders
of countries that undermine our efforts to bring peace to volatile parts of the world, making it more difficult and costly.
We make no demands and receive no assurances they will work with us as partners, leading many to conclude
they too are our enemies.

It is no coincidence a country as North Korea which cannot feed its own people, nor have enough power to generate
electricity overnight can pose a military threat to its neighbor South Korea. How can they do this without the stealth
aid supplied by Russia and China.

Or, Iran being able to develop nuclear power so quickly and pose the threat to the region and the impoverished Palestinians
getting arms to continue to attack civilian populations.

What is occurring is a deliberate effort to keep poor and volatile areas around the world powder kegs, ready to explode.
Unless the United States forcefully acts to prevent the continued support of rogue nations by Russia and China, more
American lives will be lost.

Respect.....Muslim Style

With all the criticism of the "West" (European nations and the US) for not being tolerant of people
of the Muslim faith it occurred to me the West has been the most tolerant and accepting of diverse
people of any nation I can think of.

But, this does not seem to matter to those interested in advancing agendas, unappreciative of the
the hospitality of the countries they immigrate to. They don't seek equality, they demand their
faith be the foundation of law in their adopted homes.

What is occurring is a organized campaign to change Western nations from their own historical heritage.
Muslim immigrants have no interest in melding into the local customs and the culture of host countries,
only to replace them with one based on Islam.

This will continue as long as the governments of Western nations refuse to protect their own citizens  and
institutions. Unchallenged by the political class who refuses to uphold the laws of their own nations this
will lead to an end of a national culture replaced by an intolerant ideology based on a faith.

The finality will occur once the new immigrants, whose population growth is outdistancing that of the citizens
in Europe, become the majority of the political class and rewrite laws to mode their adopted nations to mirror
the countries they emigrated from.

Wonder what the architects of such policy will think then....

Where to Begin?

There are so many issues to be concerned about, but some of the most important ones rarely, if ever, get discussed.

We can't rely on the media, they are consumed with the noisy and the most visible issues, leaving it to us to look around to determine what is occurring that impacts us, our families and our nation.

This will not be easy, as most serious issues don't get brought to our attention until problems arise, and are often irreversible.

But, it can be done, IF we do our part!

Since this blog will offer commentaries and blog "discussions" on important issues, I've given some thought to what I believe are the most important. You are encouraged to offer others you believe are worthy of discussion.

I've selected six which I believe are important to all Americans:

a. Freedom
b. Individual Rights
c. Liberty
d. Safety
e. Security
f. Sovereignty

Each of them is vital, for if any of them is taken away or lost we would not be the exceptional nation we are.

Who was James Madison?

You may wonder why James Madison's picture was used in the welcome is. Well, Madison, unlike Jefferson, Washington, or Adams, did not get as much attention during the founding of our nation, despite writing the first ten amendments of the Constitution, the Bill or Rights.

He worked tirelessly behind the scenes at our country's founding, and later with Jefferson to ensure states would have a voice rather than being ruled by a Federal government.
