What is Freedom?

What is freedom? Freedom is very simple to explain. In the United States freedom means anyone who is responsible for their own well-being can pursue any legal endeavor as long as they have the means to do so.
Freedom is the most valuable entitlement a country can bestow on its citizens. And no country provides its citizens greater freedoms than the United States.

The previous statements should be all that needs to be said about freedom. Unfortunately, its not that simple. As our country has aged over these past two hundred years the definition of freedom has become blurred.

Too many citizens eagerly give up freedoms, which also means THEIR responsibilities, and prefer to depend on government rather than themselves. These poor souls want a parent, not a country.

This is our country's greatest challenge. If citizens allow government to legislate our freedoms away we will be a nation destroyed.
