Safety and Security

I coupled both Safety and Security together for they are the two primary protections the people require from government. Individually, most citizens can use good judgment to remain safe, and even protect themselves from criminal threats.

But, from government we require protection from greater threats, beyond our own ability to resist. For this reason we employ both civilian and military forces. Both are in the employ of the American people, working through local, state and national governments.

However, when either fail to protect us, from domestic criminals or foreign military forces we must demand government take appropriate measures to eliminate this threat.
